Title: The Circuit: stories from the life of a migrant child

Author: Francisco Jimenez

Panchito is a young Mexican boy that has illegally immigrated to California. Right away his family tries to search for work to better their lives. Each story takes you through a crisis the family has to go through just to keep food on the table and a roof (of any material) over their heads.

I never realized how hard some people will actually work to keep their families alive. These short stories were brilliant. They really opened my eyes to what some people have to go through. And this family worked. Hard. For everything. And they lost a lot. Reading this made me consider what all I would have done in these situations. Amazing story. Along with the hardships, these stories have a real sense of culture. And let me tell you…6 kids. With no permanent home. I don’t know how they did it!

Happy Reading!
