Airhead by Meg Cabot

I know I know…it’s been awhile. And well…it took me forever to read this book. Which is kinda funny because I had like 5 pages left for the longest time, but thought that there was like 30. It just had an insert of the next book in the series in the back and I didn’t know it. Haha…jokes on me. I normally look for those things, but oh well.

Anywho…

I really liked this novel. I didn’t know at first that it eas going to be made into a series…which scared me, because it was going too slow for an actually finale. So, when I finally did get to the end…I was happy to know that it was a series.

Anywho…again…
Em Watts is your typical loner-type. She has one really good friend, Christopher (who she’s in love with), has attitude, isn’t afraid to speak her mind, and is hated by the popular crowd. Until one day when she, Christopher and her younger sis (soc wannabe) go to a grand opening of a new Stark Mega store (which is a commercialized music store). Her sis sees 17 yr old supermodel Nikki Howard and runs over to get her autograph. Then BAM! two things happen. Em gets crushed by a falling t.v. and Nikki has a brain aneurysm. The next thing Em knows she’s waking up in a hospital bed, her family is treating weird and her doctors won’t answer any questions about why she is in the hospital.

She doesn’t find out what really happened that day…until random events take place…she gets roses from Gabriel Luna, a musician that was at the grand opening, her sister stares at her like she’s an alien, and two strangers kidnap her from the hospital. What in the world is going on? What happened that day?

A new surgical procedure, a new life, and so much more are in store for Em. Can she handle it all and still get the one boy that is still on her mind?

Wow, chicklit meets science fiction. Sounds interesting 🙂

It is…and it’s a strong female character. Not a “airhead” like the title suggests.
