The Loser’s Guide to Life and Love by A.E. Cannon

This book is absolutely hilarious!!! I really enjoyed the fact that there were more than one perspectives given. Not only do we get two main characters, Ed and Scout (a girl), but two other characters Quark and Ellie share the spotlight as well. Ed and Scout both have chapters that are from their perspectives, but Quark’s perspective comes from his lab journal and Ellie’s perspective comes from letters and emails that she attempts to write.

I believe that I read this book as a suggestion from someone that said it was a good book to study if you wanted to learn how to do different voices. Being someone that eventually wants to write her own books, this book would help a lot in understanding how to portray different voices in different kinds of mediums, as to not make the book tedious and monotonous.

Definitely check this book out if you want to laugh, learn and enjoy a great read!!

Hey, I need some work on doing multiple viewpoints. Maybe I’ll give this book a try. It sounds a little bit like My Most Excellent Year by Steve Kluger. That book also had multiple viewpoints, and most of them were told through realia (i.e. emails, IMs, letters, etc.)
